Gov. Lee Unveils Block Grant Proposal

"Gov. Lee’s Medicaid block grant proposal is clearly a business model. While Lee was a small business owner in the past, he is no longer just a business owner. He is now a public servant who is responsible for the health and well-being of the Tennesseans he governs. Small business owners understand the importance of a sustainable business model, but that mindset prioritizes what’s best for business and disregards what is best for the state as a whole and the communities small businesses serve.

“We encourage Gov. Lee to rethink this mindset and join the 37 governors who have rightly expanded Medicaid and provide coverage to the 300,000 Tennesseans who are currently ineligible for Medicaid.”
